Xbox 360 headset issues?

Hi, i have a problem with my 360 headsets i own like 4 headsets... on all of them i can hear people and on all of them people cant hear me theres only one head set that i cant hear nothing on. when i go to record a voice messege i play it back and cant hear myself any ideas whats going on? i have also tried plugging them into new controllers
