Is this setup possible: Avaya headset USB connector + USB Bluetooth dongle + Bluetooth headset?

I work in a contact center. Is it possible to connect to an Avaya phone with USB connector (used with Plantronics USB headset) a Bluetooth dongle and then use any Bluetooth headset to answer phone calls? I have the dongle and Bluetooth headset. Currently, wireless headsets compatible with Avaya systems are very costly. I mean, if what I have will do, why spend?
