PS3 wireless bluetooth headset question?

this might sound stupid but, can i use the ps3 wireless headset with the ps3 even if i dont have wireless internet? also, i have a headset for my laptop that plugs into the microphone and headset jacks (2 jacks total) is there anywhere on the ps3 to do this? i really doubt there is but its worth a shot lol thanks!
