Is the tritton ax 180 a good gaming headset?

I live in south america, but a friend is going for a trip to the states and he is going to bring me this headset. I was wondering how good it was, as to sound quality, durability for its price(70 bucks), and if it can be used with an ipod. 10 points to the best answer,
