How do you transfer a call to someone's vmail using an Avaya 9620 One-X Desktop phone?

I work at HelpDesk at my company. We have just switched phone company types as we have just moved. I am wondering how I can transfer a call to someone's voice mail instead of having them transferred to the extension and then having them wait till they get the voice mail.
