Help! im having trouble connecting my gh drums to my ps2?

i have the wireless ghwt drum set for my ps2, but when i hit the ps button the lights on the drums just blink slow then when i try hitting it again it blinks faster, what do these different lights mean and how can i just connect it. btw im no idiot and ive made sure everythings connected properly and that the batteries are good.
