Do I need a router for my wireless printer?

I have a HP OfficeJet 4500 Wireless Printer and we have the family laptop (a Toshiba) connected to it and I recently got a laptop for myself and I cannot figure out how to print from it. Do we need a router so both computers can use it to print? Please Help. Thanks!
